Holiday World to feature world’s tallest water ride
Holiday World, located in Indiana, is planning a new attraction that will become the tallest water ride in the world upon completion. Named “Pilgrims Plunge,” the ride will feature multi-passenger boats lifted to a staggering 135 feet via elevator before descending down a 131 foot drop at a 45 degree angle.
This ride is similar to Perilous Plunge at Knotts Berry Farm, except the Knotts version is only 19 feet high. Clearly, Holiday World is going for a record that will be tough to beat!
Pilgrims Plunge is expected to be ready in time for the 2009 season, and will coast over $4 million to build.
