On May 31, 2009, a new Toy Story themed attraction will be opening at both Magic Kingdom and Disneyland. The ride will encompass characters, details, and storylines from both the original Toy Story movie and the sequel, Toy Story 2. The ride sounds very similar to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, the immensely popular arcade-style ride through attraction.

This new attraction, called Toy Story Mania! will feature 3-D glasses and laser guns, which guests will use to shoot targets and earn points. Press releases have suggested that the ride is interactive, and riders will be able to effect the outcome and scenary of the ride somehow, but no details have been released. The ride is promised to be different each time it is ridden however, which will make it very popular.
